About me

A NEAPOLITAN IN AMSTERDAM

I arrived in the Netherlands 34 years ago and immediately fell in love with the country and its culture. Openminded, down-to-earth people with a clear and practical spirit—true traders at heart—balancing beautifully between tradition and rebellion. All this blends wonderfully with Italian culture. Having been born and raised in a city like Naples, I felt at home here right away.-minded, down-to-earth people with a clear and practical spirit—true traders at heart—balancing beautifully between tradition and rebellion. All of this blends wonderfully with Italian culture. Having been born and raised in a city like Naples, I felt at home here right away.

The desire to understand differences, the respect for others, the ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations, the appreciation of tradition while also seeking innovation—qualities that are deeply rooted in Italian culture—have helped me build my career and my life in this country.

I studied in Italy: the equivalent of the PABO, physical education training, and a Master’s in Pedagogy at the university. I worked as a teacher in both primary and secondary education. My love for languages grew slowly, and as an adult I decided to train as an interpreter. Through my work, I meet people at different moments in their lives—happy or difficult times, administrative challenges or celebratory occasions—and this makes my work both meaningful and fascinating.

At the same time, I consider myself very fortunate to continue teaching Italian and to work with students of different ages. Engaging with young people and adults from various generations has prepared me to approach many situations in the most thoughtful and appropriate way.

I look forward to working with you—
and I hope I can be of help whenever you need it!
